With over 60 years’ experience in the Defence sector, covering the manufacture/shipping of hazardous and military products and with a reputation for absolute attention to detail, we initially focused on providing safe and legal movement of Class 1 explosive material, Marine/Military pyrotechnic products and weapons and ammunition.

Extensive range of freight services

We have since developed to meet our customers’ requirements by offering a comprehensive range of Freight Forwarding, Logistics and consultancy services for General Cargo, Dangerous Goods classes 1-9, Weapons and Ammunition and Oversize, Abnormal Loads or Out of Gauge (OOG) shipments.

SECTION 5

Authorised by the UK Home Office to acquire, possess and transfer in the course of our business prohibited weapons and prohibited ammunition to which Section 5 of the Firearms Act 1968 (as amended) applies.

Dangerous Goods Adviser (DGSA)

Businesses that handle, process or transport dangerous goods on a regular basis must appoint a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA) in order to comply with the Safety at Work Act 1974. Holding DGSA certification, Pentland Logistics can be contracted by those companies required under ADR (Section 1.8.3) to appoint a DGSA and provide compliance with the regulations.
