Pentland won the contract to relocate all the machinery, hardware and materials from a UK manufacturing company to the South of France.
This involved the purchasing of 4 off 40’ HC containers and placing on site for loading over a period of several months.
PLL arranged specialist Block/bracing because of the need to secure many extremely odd shaped pieces of equipment.
On final completion, a 55 ton all terrain crane was contracted to lift the containers onto the trailers.
An operation that with the expertise of the crane personnel and experienced lorry drivers went without a hitch.
Although the cargo was all non-hazardous several items fell under the UK Home Office Section 5 Act and so Approved, licensed hauliers were required for the road haulage.
All containers had a safe passage to their destination in France, where a crane was on site ready to lift off the containers in their new storage facility.
PLL staff arrived on site to open the containers and carry out a full inspection to ensure all the cargo arrived without any damage for the final contract to be signed off as completed.
